Why is the “Power + [U]” method not mentioned here? Is the result different? One of the mailing list messages suggests it might have been recently added, but I do see on my shipped NanoNote, in /proc/bus/usb/devices after “Power + [U]”:

A picture of the carbonized rubber button would be nice. Some people might not recognize it as a shorting tool or overlook it because it's so small. With a picture they would know what to look for. I don't have a good camera myself.
