- Switch from National LM4550B to Wolfson WM9707 audio codec reduced audio noise by 90% in RC3.
- Christopher Adam made a new Milkymist logo.
- Lattice Semiconductor released version 3.8 of the Mico32 core, with a few minor new features and bug fixes. Most importantly for us, they clarified the license header at the top of every source file, from one that could be misunderstood by the casual reader, to one that is now fully and 100% clear to be open source. Homebrew CMOS and MEMS foundry design
Andrew from #homecmos project had improved a lot the process for making homebrew MEMS from a lithographic projection, at irc channel he brought last results from his lab, as he quouted "World's smallest nyan cat" checkout some pics:
pic1 cat image glade Dimensions are in microns assuming i use the 5um process, multiply by 4 for the 20um
pic2 zoom cat head 400x 20um square pixels the areas under photoresist (raised) should be copper, the green means they got undercut by the etch
pic3 cat zoomed 100x note he's around 600 microns long and 200 high
