kristianpaulpip :)00:13
kristianpaulwhat??. you thread  Fallenou was hijacked ::(00:19
kristianpaulok,lest compile bsp..00:19
Fallenoukristianpaul: yes please try again00:29
Fallenouit might be better now00:29
kristianpaulFallenou: ttcp still gave me some fifo overflow..02:15
kristianpaulwpwrak: a ttcp test is suposed to take how long?02:15
wpwrakkristianpaul: that depends on how fast your link is and how much data you send ;-)02:17
kristianpaulhmm i missed the -n and -l..02:19
kristianpaulha ttcp is starting to make sense !02:26
kristianpaul1 OK02:26
kristianpaul10 OK02:27
kristianpaul100 ..02:27
kristianpaulMinimac RX FIFO overflow!02:28
kristianpaulbut test passed02:29
kristianpauloh weird, if i test again seems it freezed.02:31
kristianpaulafter reset and test again with 100 (buf) all went okay..02:32
kristianpaularggg, pesky bug !02:33
kristianpaul3000, and i still waiting...02:49
kmjAnyone know video specs for 320x240? I managed to find some CGA specs that listed front/back porches, and so on -- but not a pixel clock speed.  I'm looking at stuff on my LA, and the specs don't appear to match. I'm thinking around 6mhz or so.03:16
kmjThis is an Amiga 500, 15.7khz horizontal refresh. I measured 63.56us between sync pulses, active video for 52.81us.03:21
kmjI divide the active video by around 320-375 or so pixels, and I'm getting 140-160ns period... and there's an available clock into the video chip of 7.15909mhz03:23
kmjbut this active video of 52.81us doesn't match http://www.student.nada.kth.se/~d94-tan/pckort/videofrq.txt which claims it at 44.403:24
wpwrakkmj: this may help: http://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/4172/how-can-i-control-a-cga-screen-with-an-arduino03:24
wpwrak(2nd hit for "cga timing" ;-)03:25
kmjI obviously did 2389423948 web searches first :)03:26
wpwrakyet you didn't find the one that agrees with your observation ? ;-)03:27
kmjim reading ni.com link now :)03:27
kmjmost of the links, however, still talk about 640x40003:28
kmjor x48003:28
wpwrakhmm yes. the link i mentioned says it's jut NTSC timing at 320x200.03:31
kmjWhich is defined where?03:33
kmji can guess that the pixel clock is half of the 640 rate (so 6.075mhz instead of 12.15mhz)03:34
kmjjust about every reference I can find starts their "tables" with 640x48003:35
kmjor so03:35
kmjlooks pretty good03:50
kmjyeah NTSC matches what I'm seeing pretty clearly. Thanks.04:00
kmji can divide active video by pixels to get pixel clock speed04:00
kmjI just don't know if the active video portion would be more than just 320 pixels04:01
Fallenouhi :)10:02
Fallenoukristianpaul: so you did git pull before compiling right ?10:03
Fallenouwould you say it is better now?  less crashing ? or the same10:03
Fallenouor you can't say because it's totally random :p10:03
FallenouI am reading your e-mail10:07
Fallenouok thanks for all the logs and tests I will have a look after the work :)10:10
adamw_roh, have u filled my phone number in tracking #?10:18
kristianpaulFallenou: yeah i pull10:41
kristianpaulFallenou: bette now, dont know, i dont get trought ftpd test (wich is the most important test for me)10:41
Fallenouok !10:41
Fallenouthanks for testing anyway :)10:41
FallenouI will have a look definitely10:42
FallenouI am just very busy those days10:42
kristianpaulI can support the bug if it get better, as i just dont carsh the board !!! and start sending arp broadcast with no reason10:42
Fallenouassignments to turn late to school + internship + just found accomodation in London10:42
kristianpaulJust tell me where to look i will10:42
Fallenou+ talk to prepare for milkymist at the Open source hardware user group in london10:42
kristianpaulI just dint read all the extensive documenation about BSP porting or networking10:43
kristianpaulso i dont know where to start, more that just from scratch10:43
Fallenouyou can have a look at the network driver since it is where the bug should be10:43
kristianpaulwich will be slow on my side..10:43
kristianpaulbut wich part? wich function?10:43
Fallenouthe network driver is a very basic one10:43
Fallenouit's kind of small10:43
Fallenoubut if you don't feel like looking at it (I understand) I will no problem :)10:44
kristianpaulWhat you really think is failing there, you wrote the code, you know what could probably was writtena and could generate a bug like this10:44
Fallenouyes sure10:44
kristianpaulok i will look10:44
Fallenouit's in c/src/lib/libbsp/lm32/shared/milkymist_network/network.c10:44
kristianpauljust look.. i will some days10:44
kristianpaulyes sure10:44
Fallenouor something like that :)10:44
kristianpauli'm aware..10:44
kristianpauli must work, read you later11:05
Action: kristianpaul grabed a printed copy of the net driver with him11:05
Fallenouohoh :)11:05
Fallenouhave fun11:05
Fallenoulekernel: it seems milkymist wiki is down11:34
lekerneldreamhost db problem it seems11:38
Fallenouok it's back now11:41
Fallenouthanks :)11:41
Fallenoukristianpaul: about your change in the "flickernoise build instructions" wiki page , adding ';' makes my configure and make fail11:48
FallenouI am removing the ';' from the wiki, it works well without them, and fail with them11:48
Fallenoulekernel: woow the flickernoise dependency list has grown crazy11:54
Fallenouit's now really long to build flickernoise11:54
Fallenouyou have to get numerous libraries and compile them :o11:55
lekernelwell, compare that to LFS :)11:55
Fallenouwell it would be great to have some automated compile tool11:55
Fallenoua small script or something11:55
lekernelor just rpm packages with the pre-compiled libs for lm3211:55
Fallenoudoing all of this by hand is annoying11:55
lekernelyeah, feel free :)11:56
Action: Fallenou 's todo list is close to overflow11:56
kristianpaulFallenou: hmm14:31
kristianpaulFallenou: ahh.. (;)14:32
kristianpaulFallenou: are yoi copying and pasting from wiki?14:32
kristianpauli tought i worked, sorry14:33
kristianpaulFallenou: letme know if you got mupdf to compile. i still dont :/ and dint check further as the rest went ok14:33
kristianpaulFallenou: annoying indeed :)14:34
kristianpaulFallenou: how it fail?14:34
kristianpaulbut at theend it uses the lm32-gcc right?14:34
Fallenouwell removing the ';' just made it work14:40
Fallenoudon't have too much time to talk now14:40
Fallenouam at work14:40
kristianpaulme too ;-)14:41
kristianpaulFallenou: do you already removed the ; ?14:48
kristianpaulalso i just copy and paste and it works..14:48
kristianpaulbut is okay better remove comma14:48
kristianpaulbtw i added comma because i was using gcc instead of lm32-rtems4.11-gcc14:49
kristianpauli'll compile flickernoise again anyway, as i seem my las bsp build broke some things..14:50
kristianpaulargg, configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables14:55
Action: kristianpaul hates /usr/bin/mmqemu.sh14:59
Action: kristianpaul realize a problem with backslashes15:03
Action: kristianpaul got stuck with freetype :/15:24
Fallenoukristianpaul: which shell are you using ? and linux distribution ?15:55
FallenouI am using stock ubuntu 10.1015:55
Fallenouin virtualbox15:55
nats`< kristianpaul> argg, configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables <= sometimes it's corrected by a apt-get install build-essential :D16:12
kristianpaulnats`: ah??17:34
kristianpaulFallenou: debian stable squeeze17:35
kristianpaulnot virtualbox17:35
kristianpaulnats`: i alredy setup my build enviorment, so thats not the case, actually i was solved by removing some backslashes17:36
Fallenoukristianpaul: never tried on debian :o17:36
Fallenouoh yes i always type everything on the same line17:36
Fallenouno backslash17:36
kristianpaulFallenou: http://milkymist.org/wiki/index.php?title=Building_the_RTEMS_toolset_on_Debian17:37
kristianpaulFallenou: did you managed to compile flicernoise?17:37
Fallenounot yet17:38
kristianpaulI must doing something wrong, las time freetype dint give me troubles..17:38
FallenouI didn't compile freetype yet17:38
Fallenoua lot of dependencies :) will finish after the work17:38
Fallenoubtw OSHUG has just been announced17:40
kristianpaulFallenou: http://paste.debian.net/107726/17:44
