DocScrutinizer05roh: because that's my "local provider" aka neighbor00:17
wpwrak_grmbl. git access on projects seems to be broken. oddly enough, the rest of the server seems to be fine00:36
wpwrak_or maybe it forgot my pubkey ?00:38
wpwrak_all looks fine in forge management, though00:47
larscwpwrak_: paul had (or has) the same problem10:50
nicksydneywpwrak_: how do you normally assign a different track width for different route ?11:07
DocScrutinizer05I finally found out how to do that for manual routing in Eagle, NFC about the autorouter still, I guess it simply can't do it11:32
DocScrutinizer05Eagle has a pretty powerful scripting but I dunno if it already provides stuff like copy/replace properties of existing traces11:34
DocScrutinizer05on that LED star I manually edited width of every single trace segment :-S11:34
DocScrutinizer05and somehow it eventually seemed like the snap grid sudeenly been offset to what all the component placements been before, so the traces entered the pads at weird angles11:36
nicksydneyDocScrutinizer05: cool...i found a way to change the track for ALL traces but seems like it's tricky to do it for few traces11:43
nicksydneyeven manually i can't set it11:43
nicksydneythere must be some settings11:43
DocScrutinizer05yeah, for sure kicad is not generally worse than e.g. Eagle11:58
wpwrak_(track widths) have a look under Design Rules > Design Rules. there you can define track properties and assign them to nets. (you should name all non-default nets for make that easier to use)13:15
kyakthe slides are funny, but how did he google tcp port 32764 if he didn't have internet (which was the reason he found the opened port in the first place)14:40
kyakoh, and he downloads the firmware then..14:41
kyaki'm talking about this: < DocScrutinizer05> https://github.com/elvanderb/TCP-3276414:49
whitequarkthis is why the first thing I do to a router is install openwrt on it14:49
kyakdoes anybody know what dissassembler is on screenshots?14:50
DocScrutinizer05not all routers work with openwrt14:50
whitequarkDocScrutinizer05: this is a reason not to buy those which do not14:50
whitequarkkyak: IDA Pro14:50
kyakjust wondering about the arrows, what do they mean14:50
whitequarkcontrol flow14:50
kyakah ok14:51
DocScrutinizer05I wonder how the heck they think a "normal mortal" is supposed to download and view the .ppt or .pdf14:52
DocScrutinizer05github is a pita14:53
whitequarkclick on it -> Raw14:53
DocScrutinizer05doesn't seem to work like that14:54
DocScrutinizer05found the cheesy "download zip"14:54
whitequarkit does for me14:54
whitequarkdownload zip is for the entire repository, not just the file you want14:55
kyakgithub says that the "file is too large" and suggests downloading raw14:56
kyakso it works fine14:56
wpwrak_DocScrutinizer05: mere mortals are cheesy :)15:02
DocScrutinizer05ooh, missed the "View raw" "button"15:03
whitequarkthere's a View Raw link right in the center of the view and a Raw button in top right corner15:05
whitequark(I especially like how the URL ends with /happy/)15:25
wpwrak_don't worry, have a vodka :)15:35
larscwpwrak_: did you try removing and re-adding your key16:11
wpwrak_not yet. i checked it, though, and it looked good16:12
wpwrak_but let's see if that changes anything ...16:13
wpwrak_nope. same problem.16:14
larscmaybe too many user ;)16:16
larscbtw you also have a wa2 account16:17
wpwrak_yeah. and it "owns" werner@almesberger.net. and i can't delete it. galling :(16:18
larscI can delete it16:19
wpwrak_how ?16:19
larscat least I think I can16:19
larsclets open up the managerment panel16:19
wpwrak_maybe if you go underneat the forge interface. but i haven't found any option to eliminate accounts, only to deactivate them16:19
larscright. but you can change the mail address16:21
wpwrak_yeha, i could do that ...16:24
dos1kyak: you misread the slides, he had internet connection - he just wanted to limit the bandwidth to other users because speed was unbearable :P16:36
DocScrutinizer05I aheva hard time to *read* the slides at all ;-)16:45
DocScrutinizer05have a *16:45
DocScrutinizer05random quote from TV: "frigate birds stay flying for months, without ever landing" - wow, what a weird imagination16:48
whitequarkoh, you mean mental picture? of flying frigates16:49
DocScrutinizer05figure you are a frigate bird16:49
DocScrutinizer05would you consider anything your hone?16:50
DocScrutinizer05how would you watch TV? X-P16:50
whitequarkI was just reading a book whose author rather vividly described the experience of being on LSD16:51
DocScrutinizer05I definitely don't need such chemicals ;-)16:51
whitequarkyes, I was trying to find a polite way to say that :p16:51
whitequarklack of sleep works rather well for me. it feels amazing (at times), yet people seriously ask whether I'm on drugs16:52
pcercueiLSD is for people who actually sleep at night :)16:53
DocScrutinizer05I think it's time to leave this flat and have some dinner - first time this year16:53
whitequarkyou didn't eat for five days?16:53
whitequarknot that I'm too surprised16:54
DocScrutinizer05yeah, it starts to get ridiculously silly16:55
DocScrutinizer05switching operation mode of brain away from "sit at PC and do nonsense" to anything significantly different becomes more difficult with every day I sit here16:57
DocScrutinizer05probably a kind of addiction16:58
wpwrak_now we just need to find some nicely addictive games for you :)16:59
DocScrutinizer05why games? the PC itself is game enough16:59
whitequarkwhat do you usually do?16:59
DocScrutinizer05just wondered how to turn one of my remote boxen into a private DNS server, so I don't have to use the ones my ISP provides17:00
DocScrutinizer05213.133.100.100 alas only works from my hetzner box17:00
whitequarkI'd install dnsmasq17:01
DocScrutinizer05so ponding if a ssh port forward could already do is _my_ sort of gaming17:01
DocScrutinizer05I definitely need to try getting out of this flat and away from this PC now17:02
Action: wpwrak_ wins :)17:04
DocScrutinizer05win the "who can sit longer in front of his PC" contest?17:06
wpwrak_well, only the "who can longer stay at home" contest :) i did get naps from time to time17:18

larscwhat did you do?17:33
wpwrak_i did nothing17:37
wpwrak_nobody else logged in either17:38
wpwrak_i like magic auto-solving problems :)17:38
larscas long as they nit auto-reapear17:55
Action: DocScrutinizer05 really hopes wpwrak_ will win this contest18:28
wpwrak_ah, so i haven't won yet :)18:38
larscI already lost, since I do just-in-time grocery shopping18:39
larscIt's important to keep your inventory low ;)18:40
wpwrak_so do i. durable groceries :)18:40
wpwrak_and "just-in-time" means of course the expiration date18:40
larscI never have food for more than 2 or 3 days in the house, which means I'm going to get problems in case of a zombie uprising18:42

nicksydneymorning all21:42
nicksydneywpwrak_: found the track width using the setting you mention21:42
nicksydneyafter printed on the blue paper just realized that i should have print it mirrored 21:42
nicksydneyoh well not going to waste the precious blue paper21:43
nicksydneyseems like this kind of advertisement nowadays utilize sensors ? http://www.npr.org/blogs/krulwich/2014/01/04/259394485/billboards-that-drop-angels-on-your-head ... perhaps the plan send a data signal to the board and that triggers the video to play :)21:52
nicksydneyhttp://hackaday.com/2014/01/05/testing-the-limits-of-home-pcb-etching/ what you think ?22:09
nicksydneywpwrak_: some of my thought for AA (Anelok Android) http://justpaste.it/e0as 22:10
nicksydneythoughts / comments / critique / flaming all appreciated :)22:10
nicksydneywe are not alone .. http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/pilot-says-cigar-shaped-object-flew-straight-for-his-a320-airbus-passenger-jet/story-e6frfq80-1226795445788 :)22:19
larscprobably an NSA drone22:21
nicksydneydoes anyone has ever used a small hand held drill for drilling PCB for a header that fits on a breadboard ?22:52
nicksydneyhas anyone crack open one of this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-2-0-Mini-Bluetooth-V2-0-Dongle-Adapter-Wireless-for-mobile-phone-PC-HY-/151175476111?pt=US_USB_Bluetooth_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item2332c2b38f to see what's inside ? how the heck they make it so small...the Bluetooth MCU can't be that very small can they ?23:53
larscwhy not?23:59
