vegyraupewolfspraul: hey, u only need to confirm ownership now and the channel is all yours ;)04:33
wolfspraulvegyraupe: hey there. thanks a lot!04:43
qi-bot[commit] kyak: centerim: added libcurl and libopenssl dependencies http://qi-hw.com/p/openwrt-packages/80eb3a004:44
vegyraupeI can talk again ;)04:49
vegyraupewolfspraul: think it worked04:49
wolfspraulwait let me try a total newbie via web interface. the 'vegyraupe' nick still has a lot of super powers!04:50
wolfspraulchannel is still invite-only04:51
wolfspraulI try to remove the -i flag04:51
wolfspraullet's hope that -i means invite, I just guessed :-)04:52
qwebirc86268vegyraupe: hey there04:52
wolfspraulI think it works04:53

kyakhmm.. i wonder what's IRC name of David Kühling05:28
kyaki wanted to give it a try to gforth, but something is wrong05:28
bartbesyeah, I normally get an error with kernel.fb06:12
bartbesI would've loved it if it compiled06:12
tuxbrain2rafa:any advance on ogv playing?... since I see the Nanowar video in the Ben I'm aging for this :)08:25
tuxbrain2I have to convert it to V:mpg1 200Kbps-A:mpg2 64Kbps to play it smoothly08:26
tuxbrain2well I will keept arranging content :), lets go for the discography+lirycs+covers08:27
rafaworking to release jlime beta-3, if somebody has suggestions/problems this is a perfect time to report :)..08:28
rafatuxbrain2: hey :).. I would like to see those videos as well! .. I use "ffmpeg -i your_video_file -ac 1 -ar 22050 -s 320x240 output.mpg08:28
rafa" to convert.. which gives as output mpg1 video, mp2 audio. No sure the08:28
rafatuxbrain2: ogv: I need to think a bit more, perhaps I would like to modify the example source code of libtheora, but no sure how to face the ogv problem properly. thinking..08:29
tuxbrain2I use a 2 pass encoding with mencoder08:29
rafathe example was sexy for me because IIRC it uses SDL which I know very well and it should be simple to add new features .. like keyboard control for example.08:30
tuxbrain2"/usr/bin/mencoder"   -o "outputvideo.mpg"  -vf scale=320:-2 -of mpeg -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg1video:vpass=1:vbitrate=200 -ofps 24000/1001 -oac lavc -lavcopts acodec=mp2:abitrate=64 "originalvideo.avi" && "/usr/bin/mencoder" -o "outputvideo.mpg"   -vf scale=320:-2 -of mpeg -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg1video:vpass=2:vbitrate=200 -ofps 24000/1001 -oac lavc -lavcopts acodec=mp2:abitrate=64  "originalvideo.avi"08:32
rafafor beta-3 I already wrote into TODO the suggestions/complaints I have read :)08:33
rafaah.. interesting mencoder commands.. let me save that.08:33
tuxbrain2a question , how control volume on Mplayer, Fn+0/9 does nothing08:34
tuxbrain2-2 on scale will mantain the aspect ratio of the original video :)08:34
rafamplayer, numbers is the same for all the apps: SHIFT+redarrow+number08:37
rafait is a X thing.. so if you need to press numbers anytime you will need to use that crappy 3keys set08:38
tuxbrain2ok :), you must indicate this in the help :)08:38
rafaand mplayer takes a while (few seconds) before to react.. no idea why.08:39
tuxbrain2ok I make it work but is some delay on OSD volumen and real volume variation08:39
rafaah.. I was thinking that help had how to write numbers08:39
tuxbrain2and it was08:39
tuxbrain2but I was just actually playing :)08:40
qi-bot[commit] Werner Almesberger: Added QFN28 and QFN32 footprints for MCU and TXRX. http://qi-hw.com/p/ben-wpan/87588be08:41
qi-bot[commit] Werner Almesberger: Added COPYING (GPL 2/LGPL 2.1/CC-BY-SA 3.0) and AUTHORS. Put pointer http://qi-hw.com/p/ben-wpan/22af20208:47
tuxbrain2rafa: where is the definiton on the desktop (bkground, icons... etc) I don't see it in /usr/share/matchbox08:55
rafathe wallpaper is /etc/muffinman-extras/wallpaper.png. Just replace that file if you want to change the wallpaper. The freedesktop.org spec says that *.desktop files are under /usr/share/applications/. Folders (*directory) under /usr/share/matchbox/vfolders/. Icons under /usr/share/pixmaps/09:00
tuxbrain2no other way to change the bg? there is no xml defining this?, just thinking to include some diferent bg easily changeable09:01
tuxbrain2whatever thanks for the info :)09:02
rafaFor the wallpaper you will need to restart X (killall Xfbdev; /etc/muffinman-extras/startx)09:02
rafathe wallpaper is set via the startx script, sorry.. it runs : matchbox-desktop --bg img-centered:/etc/muffinman-extras/wallpaper.png &09:02
tuxbrain2? on matchbox? no matchbox-remote?09:03
rafawell.. matchbox-remote is there.. perhaps we can think how to use that. Our idea is to add some application for settings, useful for 320x240, which we can use to set different kind of things, for example time/date, brightnees, networking, wallpapers, icons, etc.. We do not find a proper way nice for 320x240 yet.09:07
tuxbrain2we will don't worry :)09:08
qi-bot[commit] Andres Calderon: FB added to USB host http://qi-hw.com/p/xue/7a9ae9409:12

qi-bot[commit] Xiangfu Liu: make create rootfs and reflash automatic a little http://qi-hw.com/p/nn-usb-fpga/18e79c410:24
Action: Textmode huggles #qi-hardware 11:29
qi-bot[commit] Werner Almesberger: Made first draft of schematics. http://qi-hw.com/p/ben-wpan/0efc21312:15
rafaI finally have a workaround to use fn key14:24
rafaso we can avoid shift+ red arrow shit14:25
rafafor numbers14:25
Textmodecool, what was the problem?14:33
rafano.. I do not know. If you want I can explain you further14:33
TextmodeI guess14:34
rafaTextmode: we use X. when you press a key you have four modes14:34
rafa1- key. For example, you press "n" key and X gets "n"14:34
rafa2- 2nd mode: is shift + key. Ex: you press shift + n X sends current win "N"14:35
rafa3- Mode_switch + key. Ex. you press red shift + n and X sends current win ">"14:36
rafa4- shift+mode_switch + key. Ex. you press shift+redshift+n and X sends current win "1"14:36
rafaNow.. how can we tell X that when somebody press FN key we want X sends shift+mode_switch??14:37
rafaNO idea, and no idea if that is the proper way. We know that xmodmap let us to change every mode of the 4 modes for every key. And we use xmodmap to set the numbers as mode 4 for every key with a number written.14:38
rafaSo... Textmode : which is the problem? :)14:38
Textmodesounds like a clusterfuck :)14:38
Textmodehack it so that it pretends fn is shift+redshift?14:40
rafaTextmode: what I just did was to write a simple C program of 20 lines. It wait for a key event from /dev/event1 (keyboard). When the event arrives, and if it is FN key, and if it is "unpressed" then the tiny program sends X "shift+mode_switch" event as "pressed". You release FN and that tiny program sends X the keyup event of shift and mode switch14:41
rafawith this behaviour we emulate the mode 4 with fn. So now, I press FN + 6 and the fucking X sends "6" to the current win14:41
Action: Textmode huggles rafa 14:41
rafaSurely there is a fancy and proper solution. No idea yet. At least we have something. This tiny program does not use cpu neither ram.. so that is okey so far.14:43
Textmodewell, you could probably patch X...but that would involve working with the X source code, so not a solution :P14:44
rafaYep, we would not know yet if that is the proper way to do that.14:45
rafato fix that14:45
rafawe need some advise from a Xorg guru perhaps14:46
Textmodeprobably, any lurking on IRC somewhere?14:46
bartbesXorg gurus?14:47
bartbesI have serious doubts those exist14:47
bartbesxorg is a magic box14:47
rafa:) maybe we could talk with ghosts about14:47
Textmodepersonally I'd suggest questioning the insane.14:48
Textmodein their madness, Xorg might make sense.14:48
qi-bot[commit] Werner Almesberger: Added modules for test points and solder pads. Some cleanup. http://qi-hw.com/p/ben-wpan/28e2c7514:51
qi-bot[commit] Werner Almesberger: Added default footprints to schematics. http://qi-hw.com/p/ben-wpan/91591ff14:51
qi-bot[commit] Werner Almesberger: Updated the LED. http://qi-hw.com/p/ben-wpan/245d87e14:51
bartbesI'm pretty sure the Xorg source exists out of one file, with one function main, with only one statement in it: do_black_magic_to_make_stuff_appear_on_the_screen_now();15:07
bartbes*consists of15:07
wpwrakbartbes: check the commit log. maybe there's a "now it works. my soul is thine, great cthulhu !"15:14
tuxbrain2wpwrak: not is just repetition of "Ph´nglui mglw´nafh Cthulhu R´lyeh wgah´nagl fhtagn"15:37
samgeeguys, I think my nanonote is some kind of dead. When I hook it up to my laptop the light on the side comes on, but when I press the power button nothing happens.15:56
Textmodesamgee: You know you have to hold the powerbutton for about 3-7 seconds, right?15:56
samgeeI can hold it until the cows come home, nothing happens15:57
Textmodereset button?15:57
samgeenote that I haven't actually held it until some cows came home, though :)15:57
samgeeah right, there's a reset button15:58
samgeeI just press a toothpick in there for a while?15:58
samgeeheld it in for 10 seconds, pressed power again, no response16:00
samgeeI haven't touched the nanonote for a few weeks and I can't remember what I did with/to it last.16:02
samgeehm, if I unplug the usb cable, take out the battery and plug the cable back in then it makes a ticking sound16:04
samgeewhich just went from about 5Hz to around 2Hz16:05
samgeestopped now16:05
Textmodethats probably not a good sign.16:13
samgeethat was my guess too :/16:14
samgeeI haven't tried hardware usb boot yet, but I lost the little two pin thingy.16:16
Textmodeanything conductive should do the job.16:18
Textmodelike, a bit of tinfoil.16:18
samgeeI pushed a paperclip against it and pressed power, nothing shows up in dmesg16:22
Action: samgee looks up warranty and such on tuxbrain.com16:30
samgeed'oh, still spanish only16:30
