kristianpaulxiangfu: done00:11
xiangfukristianpaul: which project?00:13
xiangfukristianpaul: sorry. I should let you know. we always put any ben issue to http://projects.qi-hardware.com/index.php/p/ben-nanonote/issues/00:14
xiangfukristianpaul: but it's ok.00:14
xiangfukristianpaul: my fault :(00:15
xiangfukristianpaul:  I will move it to ben-nanoote/issues/. is that ok?00:19
xiangfukristianpaul: :) http://projects.qi-hardware.com/index.php/p/ben-nanonote/issues/91/00:43
kyakxiangfu: hi01:03
xiangfukyak: hi01:04
kyakxiangfu: uboot-xburst build fails because of absolute paths in package/uboot-xburst/files/board/xburst/nanonote/.depend and package/uboot-xburst/files/nand_spl/board/xburst/nanonote/.depend01:04
kyakyesterday i fixed it, but wasn't able to commit01:05
kyakif you wish, i can pass modified .depend files to you01:06
xiangfukyak: I think we need remove that file ? right?01:07
kyakhm. maybe, i don't know. I ended up setting relative paths01:07
xiangfukyak: this file is create by "make" I think.01:08
xiangfukyak:  thanks for report bug.01:08
kyakso if this file already exists, it is not recreated?01:09
kyakotherwise, these paths would've been overwritten01:09
kyakxiangfu: no problem :) i'll try removing them now, see what happens01:10
xiangfukyak: I think so. yes. let's see what happens.01:11
xiangfukyak: compile fine here.01:11
kyaksame here01:16
kyakso make games with sed were not necessary after all :)01:16
kyak*my games01:16
xiangfukyak: ok. I will commit the patch .01:19

qi-commitsXiangfu Liu: [new package] some unfinished package. mark as BROKEN http://qi-hw.com/p/openwrt-packages/a9090d603:29
freespaceso yes then tuxbrain ? :)03:29
tuxbrainmm I'm from spain so creo que algo sabre :P03:29
freespacesuppose right now i have03:30
freespace"Hide ELs" = "Ocultar Lugares Estrategicos";03:30
freespaceI have changed Hide to Show03:30
freespacewhat would be the correct translation for "Show ELs"03:30
tuxbrainMostrar Lugares estrategicos03:31
freespaceawesome, thanks03:31
tuxbrainbut a little more of context should make translator live easier :P03:31
freespace/* hide EL settings string */03:33
freespacei am terrible :(03:33
freespacethis is the first time i had a program localized03:34
tuxbrainOcultar cadenas de inicializacion de lugares estrategicos03:34
freespacegoogle failed to translate that03:35
tuxbrainwe are far to time where a machine can beat humans on humans things, and natural lenguage is the most human thing on earth, complicated, trillions of variants, full of execptions , and totally ambiguouse03:37
freespacehowever, in a pinch, it is better than nothing :)03:38
freespaceour mexican partners are asleep03:38
freespaceso i can't poke them03:38
tuxbraindon't worry you can count on me for now03:39
freespaceapparently there is a difference between mexican spanish and spanish spanish03:39
tuxbrainyes :) talking about variants :P03:40
tuxbraineven spanish spanish is different depending regions :)03:41
freespaceyeah, i know how that is :) grew up in china03:41
freespacejust between my parents and myself we speak 4 different dialects03:42
freespaceand 2 of them effectively foreign to me03:42
freespacethankfully they don't share those 2, so they can't plot behind my back without me overhearing :P03:42

qi-commitsXiangfu Liu: [frotz] remove check root http://qi-hw.com/p/openwrt-packages/35d9d9e06:28
tuxbrainkristianpaul:  unable to get a fix yet :(09:19
tuxbrainI also attached a bigger antenna to try this afternoon but then I have keyboard issues, I guess it's draining too much power09:20
kristianpaultuxbrain: yes?09:44
kristianpaultoo much, did you measure it?09:44
kristianpauli did my first test outside all was good :)09:51
tuxbrainjust guided by the simptoms, plugged keyboard stops reponding, unplugged it respond again.10:03
tuxbrainbefore I connect the bigger antenna no problem with keyboard10:04
freespacewhat module are you guys using?10:21
qi-commitsXiangfu Liu: [xburst] change default font to 6x11 http://qi-hw.com/p/openwrt-xburst/7510b5a11:10
kristianpaulfreespace: i'm using a sim54811:21
kristianpaulfreespace: http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/GPS11:21
kristianpaulthe one tuxbrain is on the wiki too11:21
kristianpaulmine is kidn of big because gsm part wich i plan use for gprs in some apps maybe11:23
wpwraki'm taking apart a ben for the first time unassisted. so far, i've removed four screws but the top still doesn't seem to want to come off. something in the middle near the lcm is still holding it. are there more screws or should i just pull a little harder ?11:25
kristianpauli remenber well if crews are gone a little of force is rquired11:26
rafawpwrak: I do not if I am following you but I think that speaker has glue on it, so the top is pasted to speaker11:27
rafaI do not know*11:27
rafamaybe is that?11:27
kristianpaulwpwrak: your opening lcm case or the other case?11:27
wpwrakkristianpaul: the main case, with main pcb, keyboard, etc.11:29
rafait is the glue on speaker surely11:29
wpwrakrafa: looks like it. thanks !11:30
freespacebeen wanting to get a gsm board12:28
freespacethe only gps module i ever played with was some 50 job from sparkfun12:28
freespacewould go nicely with the ben actually12:28
kyaksomeone else has problems bulding glib2 after feeds update?13:02
larscwhat kind of error do you get?13:02
kyakchecking for ngettext in -lintl... no13:04
kyakconfigure: error:13:04
kyak*** You must have either have gettext support in your C library, or use the13:04
kyak*** GNU gettext library. (http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/gettext.html13:04
kyaki agree13:05
kyakconfigure: WARNING: libintl.h: accepted by the compiler, rejected by the preprocessor!13:05
kyakthis is written before13:05
kyaki tryed to rebuild a toolchain from scratch, but it didn't help13:06
kristianpaulfreespace: link? from sparkfun13:10
lekernelhaha, you discover the wonders of autocrap :)16:24
qi-commitsLars-Peter Clausen: MIPS: jz4740: platform.c: Add memory region for NAND banks http://qi-hw.com/p/qi-kernel/0f0572517:07

qi-commitsLars-Peter Clausen: foo http://qi-hw.com/p/qi-kernel/a22eb2417:07
qi-commitsLars-Peter Clausen: MTD: nand: jz4740: Make macros safe http://qi-hw.com/p/qi-kernel/254d0d2917:07
qi-commitsLars-Peter Clausen: MTD: nand: jz4740: supply memory bank address through platform resource http://qi-hw.com/p/qi-kernel/1b3e64a17:07
larscmth: -^  I doubt that it will work, though17:07
mthdoubt it will work with the Dingoo or at all?17:11
mthby the way, the memory banks don't have a fixed address, there is an EMC register for each one17:11
larsci know.17:14
larscbut those are the default values17:14
larscand i doubt anyone will ever change them17:14
mthI considered moving the bank addresses around in select_chip, to avoid having the recalculate the read and write addr17:15
mthbut since the assert bits cannot be moved around that would only have made things more confusing17:16
Ornotermeslarsc: do you know if the hardware in bnn support finer volume control than 4 steps?17:26
larscit can not17:26
larscyou need a software volume17:27
Ornotermeswould be grate with a finer volume control17:27
mthby the way, I have experimental support for double buffering in the SLCD driver now17:30
mthit allows the use of SDL_HWSURFACE without flickering on overpaints17:30
mthmaybe this is useful for the NN as well?17:31
hallo99/proc/cpuinfo on the nanonote says something about "AES implemented". Is there AES hardware accelartion in the jz4740?17:37
larsccpuinfo says: "ASEs implemented        :17:40
hallo99too bad, AES accelariton would be helpfull for full crypto17:43
mthlarsc: the commit that adds "banks" to the platform data seems to be missing17:46
qi-commitsLars-Peter Clausen: Add missing part from commit d6e96efcb6163fb63b01f9ee861ffdee1f666e2e http://qi-hw.com/p/qi-kernel/6445d3a17:52
qi-commitsLars-Peter Clausen: MIPS: jz4740: platform.c: Add memory region for NAND banks http://qi-hw.com/p/qi-kernel/89f199317:52
wpwrakrafa: i found out what the fat down-arrow does: it's caps lock. HOW NICE. NOW YOU CAN HEAR ME !!!!111 :-)17:58
mthlarsc: if I boot via USB, the driver works on a single chip Dingoo18:01
mthif I boot via u-boot though, it hangs before even showing the penguin18:02
larschm, interesting18:02
larsci wonder why18:02
mthI'm going to try a clean build to make sure it's not some kind of time stamp mixup18:03
mthstill happens with a clean build18:05
mthhmm, if I put return 1; at the very start of jz_nand_probe it still hangs18:07
mthI'll try an older kernel, maybe the SD card is the problem rather than the kernel itself18:08
mthyep, it's the card that has problems18:09
mthhmm, I did copy several PSX CD images onto the card to test psx4all18:19
mthis it possible u-boot cannot read beyond a certain sector?18:19
rafawpwrak: haha :D19:51
uncloudedhas anyone got suggestions on the best way to photograph the NanoNote's screen?  I keep getting reflections of the camera in the screen21:30
kristianpaulunclouded: not photograh21:50
kristianpauluse fbgrab21:50
kristianpaulbut from ssh21:50
kristianpaulso you can capture the screen on the nano21:50
uncloudedkristianpaul: fbgrab doesn't give a true picture of what the screen looks like21:56
kristianpaulhm true21:57
kristianpaulwell so.. try take picture in low light room21:57
uncloudedI think I worked out at least one thing just now: use manual shutter speed21:57
uncloudedotherwise the camera lets so much light in that the pixels have halos21:57
uncloudedI tried 1/40th sec just now and it looks much better than any of the others I've taken21:58
kristianpaulhttp://home.earthlink.net/~cwkelley/receiver_operation.htm :O22:04
kristianpaulunclouded: nice22:04
kristianpauli'll try with my cam later i also need pics from screen22:05
uncloudedkristianpaul: if you find out some tips or tricks, could you pleas publish them: http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Taking_good_photos22:05
kristianpaulunclouded: u posted to the mail list already?22:10
kristianpaulphotos are relly important i must agree22:10
uncloudedkristianpaul: I don't understand the question about the mail list22:13
kristianpauli mean you should post the question about takeing pictures of the nanonote screen in the mail list too22:15
uncloudedkristianpaul: oh I see. good idea22:20
kristianpaulxiangfu: ok thanks22:51
xiangfukristianpaul: ?22:56
freespacekristianpaul: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=46522:57
freespacecosts a bit mroe now22:57
kristianpaulxiangfu: move the bug22:57
xiangfukristianpaul: you are welcome :)23:00
